Our first week back to school and me back to the office was a success! New shoes, new haircuts and 2 excited boys. I was able to walk both of them to their classrooms for the first day (a change from covid is that they usually get dropped off in the entry and walk themselves). They were both excited and not scared at all! They hugged me goodbye and walked right in with no tears or hesitation!

I think all of us were the happiest we’ve been in a long time. Our time together was so sweet and the boys were happy and affectionate- sometimes it is good to miss each other for a while to make being together even better.
This weekend was pretty low key. Nate and I did a lot of work on our house and Grandma Debbie was a rockstar- hanging out with the boys on Saturday morning and then having them overnight on Sunday-Monday. On Saturday afternoon, Xander and I went shopping for pants (he has outgrown every single pair). He felt strongly that he needed a blazer, but ultimately I decided that we didn’t need formal wear for pre-k (even though he looked really cute). .
On Sunday, the boys went to my mom’s house and they played, had breakfast for dinner, went outside when it was dark and, as always, had the best time ever. .
